Oman gearing up for growing international air passenger traffic

Airports in Oman are witnessing steady rise in new airlines launching operations.

MUSCAT: With the resumption of international flights to the country post the pandemic, Oman Airports will be adding more flights and newer routes.

Over the last few months, there is a noticeable increase in the number of new airlines launching operations to and from the Sultanate, especially to Salalah Airport.

“We are in continuous discussion with airlines to activate its gradual routes and increase the number of flights to Oman airports,” said Sheikh Aiman Al Hosni, CEO of Oman Airports.

“Work is underway to increase airlines operating to Oman Airports and to add more capacity and increase their flights to and from Oman and to provide a comprehensive incentive plan for long and short flights to new, chartered and seasonal destinations, and new cargo operators,” he added.
