MUSCAT: The Directorate General of Projects and Engineering Affairs at the Ministry of Health has been working on a project to establish a health centre in the southern Mabella area (Phase IV) in the Wilayat Seeb.
The aim of the project is to provide treatment services to the people residing in the area and relieving auditors’ pressure on the existing health centres in this region.
Engineer Jamal bin Salem Al Shanfari, Director General of the Directorate General of Projects and Engineering Affairs at the Ministry of Health, said, “The health centre is being built on an area of 15,000 square meters and the total building area is about (1309) square meters.”

He added that the centre consists of several facilities, including a clinic for information and registration, an initial examination room, two waiting rooms for men and women, a dental clinic, a physiotherapy clinic, in addition to a pharmacy, radiology department and its accessories, and a sterilisation room.
The Director General of the Directorate General of Projects and Engineering Affairs at the Ministry of Health stated that the work on the project, as per the agreement, is expected to be completed on August 16, 2023.
Wilayat Seeb is one of the most densely populated wilayats in the Governorate of Muscat. With the completion of the establishment of this centre, the number of health centres in the wilayat will total to 10.
