MUSCAT: Over 6,000 worshipers will attend the Haj this year, as the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs (MERA) has ended the online sorting.
MERA said it has informed the worshippers who have been selected to attend Haj. A total of 6,388 have been granted to go for Haj from Oman.
“The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs ends the automated sorting, granting entitlements, and informing those entitled for the Hajj season of 1443 AH through the system to complete the contracting procedures that for extend three days between pilgrims and approved Hajj companies,” Oman News Agency (ONA) said in a statement.

The eligibility quotas were distributed according to the results of the automated sorting between 14 allotments for cancer patients, 5,381 people entitled to perform the obligatory prayer, 61 people entitled to carry out wills, 572 volunteers, and 128 on behalf of the disabled.
