MUSCAT: Over 1,000 special education students have been enrolled in Dhofar governorate for the academic year 2021/2022, the Ministry of Education said.
“A total of 1,086 male and female students are studying in Dhofar Governorate. They are divided into programs such as learning difficulties, intellectual integration, auditory integration, speech and communication, and autism program,” Ministry said.
“General Directorate of Education in Dhofar governorate seeks to create an appropriate educational environment for its students by focusing on improving the educational system in various fields of special education and the extent to which they are integrated into their society and benefit from the services provided to them in all institutions at the educational and societal levels,” the statement added.
