MUSCAT: The Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation initiated an investigation against a college after it organised a rave party inside the campus.
The videos from the party went viral over the internet and according to the Ministry, the event “contradicted the principles of Omani values, customs and norms.”
The ministry said it had immediately handled the institution and launched an investigation on the matter. “The ministry will be refereeing the violators to the competent authorities to take legal measures against them,” the statement said.

The ministry said in the past, that it had issued a number of circulars to all higher education institutions about the importance of commitment to foundations, morals, religious values, culture and Omani customs.
