MUSCAT: The firefighters in Oman were able to put out a fire which broke out in a farm in Wilayat Samail. No injuries were caused due to the fire, the authorities said.
The authority has called on farmers to follow preventive guidelines to avoid farm fire incidents. Earlier this week, the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority issued guidelines to prevent farm fires.
In case of such fires, one must immediately call the emergency number (9999) or (24343666). One can also try to extinguish the fire with whatever is available. Also, as much as possible, ask assistance from reaching the bushed and trees. Lastly, do not hesitate to seek help workers in the neighbouring farms in case of sudden farm fires.
