Omani delegation visits large museum in Egypt

The two sides reviewed various aspects of cooperation and experiences in the field of museum and culture.

MUSCAT: A delegation from Oman visited the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC), a large museum in the ancient city of Fustat in Cairo.

The delegation included His Excellency Ambassador Abdullah bin Nasser Al Rahbi, the Sultanate of Oman’s ambassador to Egypt and its permanent representative to the League of Arab States, Counsellor Muhammad Al Zubair, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Al Zubair Foundation, and Dr. Juma bin Ali Al Jumaa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Muscat University.

The delegation was received by Dr. Ahmed Farouk Ghoneim, head of the National Museum of Egyptian Civilisation, who was keen to welcome them.

The museum said in a statement that the two sides reviewed and exchanged ideas on various aspects of cooperation of common interest, experiences, and mechanisms for exchanging information in the museum and cultural fields.

Dr. Ahmed Farouk Ghoneim stressed the museum’s administration’s keenness to build bridges of communication and cooperation between the museum and international and local personalities interested in heritage.
