MUSCAT: The Muscat Electricity Distribution Company has recently witnessed a great demand by subscribers to request the installation of a prepaid meter in homes and commercial buildings.
This service enables the subscriber to control and monitor the monthly consumption of electricity without the need to wait for any monthly bills.
The total number of subscribers who obtained this service has reached 91,787 until the end of April 2022, and the number of commercial subscribers in the prepaid meter service reached 32,968 and 58,819 residential subscribers.
