MUSCAT: The prestigious 2022 FIFA world Cup original trophy arrived in Oman on Friday.
The Coca-Cola company in partnership with FIFA and the Oman Football Association (OFA) worked together to bring the coveted World Cup Trophy to Oman for the first time. Former legendary Brazilian footballer Gilberto Silva arrived in Muscat with the World Cup trophy.
Silva was welcomed at the VIP terminal of Muscat International Airport His Excellency Saud bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of State and Governor of Muscat along with OFA and officials from Ministry of Sports, Youth and Culture. Oman’s legendary footballer Ali Al Habsi also attended the welcoming ceremony.

The trophy is visiting Muscat as part of its tour to 88 cities around the world ahead of the biggest showpiece event.
