MUSCAT: Under the patronage of His Highness Sayyid Kamil bin Fahd Al Said, Assistant Secretary-General of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Cabinet Affairs, the Petroleum Development Oman officially inaugurated the Izki Public Hall on Monday, May 9.
The public Izki Hall was built on an area of 1,500 square meters and is located within the Izki Cultural Centre.
The hall contains the latest educational equipment and training rooms that will allow holding lectures and training workshops. In general, the hall will contribute to the establishment of cultural and social activities in the state of Izki and the surrounding areas by creating a safe and appropriate environment.

In this regard, Engineer Abdul-Amir bin Abdul-Hussein Al-Ajmi, Executive Director of External Affairs and Value Added at Petroleum Development Oman, said, “Such community projects are an embodiment of our endeavor to make our projects diversified and touch the various social, training, health, economic and other needs of citizens.”
“On the other hand, we are keen to make it benefit all the people of the Sultanate, whether inside or outside our concession area. All this is in line with the United Nations sustainable development goals and the priorities of Oman’s 2040 vision. Today’s project is in line with the ninth goal of the United Nations goals related to strengthening the infrastructure of society.”
This project comes within the framework of the company’s social investment program, which aims to contribute to the sustainable development of Omani communities, and meet their needs through the implementation of many diverse projects in cooperation with government and private agencies.
