MUSCAT: Oman Meteorology on Saturday morning, April 30, issued an alert indicating that formation of convective clouds and scattered thunderstorm can be expected in Dhofar and Al Wusta Governorates.
These governorates as well as the Al Hajar Mountains and the neighbouring areas will also experience active downward winds and hail. There are also chances of cloudy extending to the coastal areas of the Sea of Oman in the afternoon and evening periods of the day.
The department has also cautioned that as a result of thunderstorms, unsteady objects can take flight and can be dangerous due to decreased horizontal visibility.

Moderate to rough waves expected on the coasts of western Musandam while the Sea of Oman and the Arabian Sea will see calm to moderate waves.
