MUSCAT: The Food Control Department of Muscat Municipality in Seeb carried out a total of 1029 inspection visits,
Inspection of meat shops, sweets shops, nuts and Omani candy factories as well as men’s salons were carried out by concerned authorities ahead of Eid Al Fitr.
These intense inspections has resulted in the issuance of 28 health violations and closure of two establishments. Also, a total of 185 kilograms of food items were discarded as they were unfit for human consumption.
