MUSCAT: The second semi-final of the PSM Ramadan cricket tournament proved to be yet another entertaining match played between Asfandyar X1 and Oriental X1 in front of an exciting crowd on April 25.
Oriental X1 won the toss and elected to bat first. The first two overs were great for Oriental X1 as they scored 32 runs but later on, the Asfandyar bowlers came back strongly and kept the runs in check.
In spite of some fine batting by Nadeem 36 not out (14×6) and Asif Pathan 28 runs try to smash the Oriental bowlers but managed only 95 for three wickets in 8 overs, only Zaheer got a wicket for Asfandyar X1.

In reply, Asfandyar X1 scored the required runs in just 6.4 overs, Sagheer scored 31 runs in 12 balls with 3×6 and 3×4 to clinch a place in the final. Sagheer was declared the MOM and was presented a trophy by the chief guest of the evening Chawdhry Ahsan, who came from Sohar for this occasion.
The much-awaited final will be played on Wednesday at 9.30 PM as a very exciting and entertaining encounter is expected from both the teams.
Meanwhile, the organisers announced a cash prize of USD 500 for winners and USD 300 for runners of this event. Mr Pankaj Khimji the Chairmen of Oman Cricket has consented to be the Chief Guest.
