MUSCAT: His Excellency Qais Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion on Sunday issued a decision setting a standard for electrical metering systems in Oman.
According to the Ministerial decision No 393/222, the first article stipulated that the Omani standard specification No. (2022: 1647 OS) for electrical metering systems is a binding Omani standard.
The second article stipulated the imposition of an administrative fine not exceeding OMR 1,000 “on anyone who violates the provisions of this decision, and the fine shall be doubled in the event of a repeat violation.”
