MUSCAT: Iqbal Ariwala, the Chief Administration Officer of Oman Cricket, died on Saturday after a heart attack, sources close to his family said.
The veteran cricket manager was the face of Oman Cricket for many years. “Oman Cricket is saddened about the sudden demise of Mr. Iqbal Ariwala – International Cricket & Admin Manager this afternoon. The Board of Directors and the Staff are deeply hearted and express their condolences to his family. May his Soul Rest in Peace,” Oman Cricket said in a statement on Saturday.
“We cannot believe that our Iqbal bhai is no more. Mr. Iqbal Ariwala Chief Administration Officer of Oman cricket passed away due to a sudden heart attack. Huge loss for cricket lovers in Oman. May his soul rest in peace,” said OCT Seeb in a statement.
