Oman’s CAA says plans to increase air traffic at Suhar Airport

CAA is also planning to increase the operational working hours at Suhar Airport.

MUSCAT: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) on Thursday said it has developed a vision to increase flights to Suhar Airport.

On Thursday, His Excellency Nayef bin Ali Al Abri – Chairman of CAA held a workshop on logistical connectivity and integration in the Governorate of North Al Batinah.

In a statement issued, CAA said it has developed the following strategic vision:

  1. National airlines will increase operational frequency to Suhar Airport.
  2. Enhancing the capacity of Suhar airport, accommodating passengers and increasing the operational workings hours.
  3. Studying opportunities to link the other airports of Oman with Suhar airport.
