MUSCAT: Oman Cement Company has contributed to building 60 mosques in 2021 in various governorates of the Sultanate.
This initiative is a part of the company’s commitment to its motto in community development ‘We Build Oman’. It also consolidates its contributions in the field of social responsibility as a long-term investment as the company allocates 30,000 bags of cement annually for the construction of mosques.
The company has allocated 100,000 bags of cement to contribute to repairing the damage caused by the tropical situation, Shaheen.

Engineer Salem bin Abdullah Al-Hajri, CEO of Oman Cement Company, said that the company has been keen, since its establishment in 1978, to excel in its industrial activities and its support for various social activities, in response to the aspirations of the wise leadership along with the consolidation and deepening of the principles and values of social responsibility in the culture of its employees as a method A life, a culture rooted in its mission, vision and competitive goals.
He added, “Oman Cement is proud of its members’ passion for social responsibility initiatives, which it sees as an integral part of its mission in the field of charitable projects. Oman Cement contributed about 500 bags of cement to a total of 60 mosques last year.”
And he also indicated that the impact of Oman Cement on charitable projects was not limited to that, but also extended to its contribution to rebuilding houses that were affected by the tropical condition Shaheen last October.
Engineer Salem bin Abdullah Al-Hajri said, “We sought to coordinate the transfer and distribution of our equipment in the various areas affected by the tropical condition Shaheen in North Al Batinah Governorate.”
Oman Cement has paid great attention to meeting the local demand, in addition to its success in exporting oil well cement and construction cement to other countries, as the annual design capacity of the clinker production plant is currently 2.6 million tons. The total annual cement production capacity is about 3.5 million tons.
