MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik issued a Royal Decree on Sunday transferring the affiliation of the National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI) from the Ministry of Economy to the Council of Ministers.
NCSI was established in 2012 with the determination of its affiliation with the Supreme Council for Planning (SCP). However, the SCP was abolished in 2020 and NCSI was transferred to the Ministry of Economy.
