MUSCAT: The total products of refineries and petroleum industries in the Sultanate of Oman decreased by 30.4 percent by the end of February 2022 compared to the same period in 2021, according to statistics issued by the National Center for Statistics and Information.
The statistics showed that the production of ordinary car fuel M91 amounted to 1,558,200 barrels at the end of last February, a decrease of 7.1 percent compared to the end of February 2021, which amounted to 1,676,700 barrels, while its sales amounted to 1,824 thousand barrels.
The production of premium car fuel M95 amounted to more than 1.7 million barrels , a decrease of 35.9 percent compared to the same period in 2021, which amounted to 2,680,700
barrels, and its sales decreased by 16.6 percent to reach 1,863,500barrels, while exports amounted to 462 thousand and 600 barrels. A decrease of 13.4 percent compared to the end of February 2021.

And the production of gas oil (diesel) witnessed a decrease of 39.1 percent during the month of February to reach 3,994,500 barrels, and its sales decreased by 1 percent to reach 2,47,500 barrels, and its exports decreased by 58.1 percent compared to the same period in 2021 to reach 2,878,400 barrels.
The production of jet fuel recorded 960,000 barrels, an increase of 3.8 percent compared to the end of February 2021, which amounted to 925,200 barrels, and its sales increased by 71.5 percent to 393,100 barrels, while its exports decreased by 18.4 percent to 562,100 barrels.
