MUSCAT: The Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn) has received 325 new requests for investment during 2021, and signed 252 contracts in various industrial, service, and commercial activities.
In a statement issued Madayn said the number of projects in the industrial sector reached 106 projects in various sectors, including foodstuffs, mining, plastic, and others.
“The new projects achieved an increase in the volume of investments by OMR 108.39 million, with a growth rate of 1.6 percent compared to 2020, as Sohar Industrial City was able to attract more than OMR 37 million during the year 2021, while the total investments in the industrial cities of Sur and Samail increase About OMR 18 million,” Madayn added.
