MUSCAT: Oman has strongly condemned the latest act of storming by Israeli forces in Al-Aqsa Mosque and Al-Haram Al-Sharif on worshippers on Friday.
In a statement issued, the foreign ministry said: “Oman condemns the arbitrary and illegal activities of Israel and its occupying forces in the Palestinian territories. Their attack on the sacred places Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Al-Haram Al-Sharif, on unarmed and wholly innocent worshipers, is a flagrant violation of international law and a grave provocation for Muslims around the world.”
“The international community must shoulder its responsibilities by promoting justice and law, by ending the occupation and achieving peace through the restoration of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people,” the statement added.
