MUSCAT: Oman announced a grace period to private sector companies extending the validity of expat work permits that expired as of March 31, 2022.
The announcement which was made by the Ministry of Labour on Thursday said the extension is until June 30, 2022.
In a statement issued, the Ministry said: “As part of the facilities provided by the government to private sector companies to mitigate the impacts of Covid-19 on their functioning, the Ministry of Labour announces a grace period extending the validity of the work permits of expat labour that expired as of March 31, 2022 to June 30, 2022.”
