MUSCAT: Oman’s Minister of Health has urged the public to continue taking preventive measures against COVID-19.
Oman on Wednesday reported 50 new cases but His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Al Saidi said the fight against the virus is still ongoing. “We (health sector) have been fighting to put an end to this virus for the last two and half years. You need to be cautious all the time,” he said during the Supreme Committee press conference.
“We remind everyone that the pandemic has made it clear to us that without health, there is no economy, no education, and no social life,” Minister said.

According to the data issued by the Ministry of Health, 90% of target population received both the doses, while only 10% of Omani citizens took the third dose. “Only 160,000 received the third dose which is just 10%,” the Minister said.
