MUSCAT: Indian Embassy in Oman came to the rescue of a Japanese traveller who was stranded at Muscat International Airport on his way to India due to visa problems.
The Japanese citizen took to Twitter to raise his concern seeking help of Indian officials. “A Japanese traveler enroute to India got stuck at Muscat airport due to visa problems. Embassy’s help was sought and promptly provided,” Indian Embassy said.
Soon after receiving the visa, the Japanese citizen thanked Indian Embassy for the immediate help. “I have a visa, I have been fed lunch, and I have been apologised multiple times even though this is not India’s fault any way. Everyone at the embassy knows that I am ‘the Japanese’ and this has all been very entertaining and I had a great time.”
