MUSCAT: The Supreme Committee has decided to limit attendance for group prayers, including Taraweeh prayers starting from the holy month of Ramadan.

Those attending the prayers would have received the COVID-19 vaccine. This move has been taken to prevent entry to the unvaccinated, including children under the age of twelve.

The Supreme Committee has also decided to continue the ban on iftar gathering on mosques, and other public places.

The committee also said international and local events, exhibitions, conferences and activities of mass nature will continue to be at 70% capacity.

The committee also called on everyone who shows “any of the respiratory symptoms to avoid attending group prayers and gatherings of all kinds.“
