MUSCAT: Siraj Bhatkar is working as Assistant Professor of Petroleum Engineering in the School of Petroleum Engineering, at Dr Vishwanath Karad, MIT – World Peace University, Kothrud, Pune, India. 

Siraj Bhatkar is a seasoned Petroleum Engineer by training and has wide-ranging research experience that span Drilling Engineering, Well Design, and industry implementation experience, as well as administrative and organizational abilities. 

Siraj Bhatkar has worked as a teacher, researcher and academic administrator in a professional career of 15 + years. He has made numerous contributions to Petroleum engineering research in general, as well as in Artificial Lift and Petroleum Production Engineering, Enhance Oil Recovery, Produced water Management. 

He has a deep interest in Chemical Enhance oil recovery applications in the recovery of viscous heavy oil. Siraj Bhatkar significant academic and research contributions are truly multidisciplinary. 

The common theme that binds his contributions is experimental investigations, design of experiments, modelling and extensive application of commercial software in Petroleum engineering such as CMG, Landmark and IPM Prosper etc. 

Siraj Bhatkar has published books in the area of Artificial Lifting and Enhance oil recovery. He has published many international papers on key areas of Enhance oil recovery, Petroleum Produced water treatment and Production optimization.
