MUSCAT: Oman’s Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi, met with his French counterpart, Jean-Yves Le Drian on Monday evening. The French Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs is currently on a visit to the Sultanate of Oman.
The two sides also exchanged views on current regional and international issues of common interest, stressing the importance of dialogue and peaceful solutions to issues and crises in order to achieve international peace and security.
The leaders expressed their keenness to strengthen the friendship and cooperation between the two countries. They also reviewed aspects of bilateral cooperation in the political, economic, commercial, investment, scientific, cultural, security, defence and energy fields, and discussed ways of developing them to achieve more mutual benefits for both countries and their peoples.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador Khaled bin Hashel Al-Maslihi, Head of the Minister’s Office Department, and a number of officials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as H.E. Veronique Aulignon, Ambassador of the French Republic accredited to the Sultanate of Oman, and the delegation accompanying the guest minister.
