MUSCAT: Dr. Saleh Al-Anbouri, Director General of the General Directorate of Exploration and Production at the Ministry of Energy and Minerals, has confirmed that the Government of the Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Energy and Minerals, is committed to its production plan announced with OPEC Plus.
Additionally, there are no directives that contradict this plan, as the ministry is working to recover and balance the oil and gas sector by pumping more from investments to reach the lowest possible cost of production and to achieve profits even after the decline in demand, the official said during the conference at the Oil and Energy Exhibition.
The conference focused on discussions on “shaping the future of the energy industry”, as the Sultanate of Oman continues its commitment to stimulating the sector and effectively developing other energy sources such as renewable energy. These efforts have been taken in order to reduce production costs and enhance competitiveness in other sectors, within the framework of its vision towards achieving a green economy based on Sustainability, through industry-leading events such as the Oil and Energy Exhibition and Conference.
