MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik on Sunday said he is closely following the cost of living and matters that affect the life of citizens on a daily basis.

Addressing the sheikhs of Muscat, South Al Batinah and Musandam at the Al Alam Palace, His Majesty the Sultan said he “always direct the government” to take necessary steps to address core issues. “We follow the cost of living and what matters that affect the life of the citizen, and we always follow them on a daily basis, whether through reports issued by the National Center for Statistics and Information or what officials report to us directly, and we are determined to follow up on these matters first hand,” His Majesty said.

His Majesty also informed that Port Sultan Qaboos will be operated in a way that meets the tourism and commercial needs as well.
