MUSCAT: A new report by the Chicago-based Ariston Research Corporation has predicted that the data centre and cloud computing market in the Sultanate of Oman will register a compound growth rate of 11.42% from 2022 to 2027.
The report, published by Report Linker website, said that the rise in the number of internet users in Oman will lead to increased data generation, adding that the rapid development of internet connectivity, positive support from government agencies, and the increasing adoption of cloud services, big data, and the Internet of Things were among the factors. Strong growth of the data centre industry.
The report further stated that the rise in digital transformation strategies and the adoption of cloud computing by companies is likely to lead to an increase in the adoption of cloud servers in the Sultanate of Oman.
