Registrations open for 3rd batch of entrepreneurial program in Oman

Applicants must have viable entrepreneurial idea among other requirements.

MUSCAT: The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority, on Thursday, announced the commencement of registration for the third batch of ‘Entrepreneur Readiness’ program under the new and existing projects category.

This is mandatory to obtain a set of services provided by the authority such as financing, sponsorship, usufruct of land and others. The three-week program aims to enhance the culture of entrepreneurship and develop the capabilities of the target groups through a training program in the governorates of the Sultanate of Oman.

It will focus on developing the communication skills of entrepreneurs, understanding the difference between micro, small and medium enterprises, understanding the legislative aspect of the business environment, and enhancing financial and administrative skills, as well as financial and administrative skills. Marketing, preparing a feasibility study, and developing aspects related to employing emerging technologies in entrepreneurship.

The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority stated that the applicant for the program is required to have a viable entrepreneurial idea, and must pass the initial assessment of the entrepreneur’s readiness and other necessary procedures.
