MUSCAT: Omani citizens who are coming from United Arab Emirates (UAE) are not exempted from COVID-19 PCR test, the Government Communication Center (GC) has confirmed on Wednesday.

In a statement issued, GC denied rumours circulating on social media about exempting Omanis from PCR test.

“There is no truth to the audio recording circulating about exempting Omanis travelling from the United Arab Emirates from the PCR examination,” GC said.

According to the rules, people coming to Oman through the border must present the vaccination certificate mentioning that they have received two doses of the approved vaccine and a negative result of Covid-19 PCR test that does not exceed 14 days.
