MUSCAT: His Excellency Eng. Khamis bin Mohammed Al Shamkhi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology for Transport announced that a number of projects in the field of transport, which had previously been suspended, will resume in 2022.
He mentioned that there will be a focus on completing work on strategic projects, especially with regard to the Eastern Expressway in 2022, the road linking Haima and Thumrait, the coastal road, and the Musandam Governorate road.
He also mentioned that there are important investment opportunities for the ministry in 2022 including Masirah Bridge, an alternative road to Jabal Al Akhdar from South Al Batinah Governorate, a railway and a pier for the export of rocks and priority materials in Shinas.
