MUSCAT: The number of domestic flights through Muscat International Airport recorded a remarkable growth at the end of November 2021, with incoming flights increasing by 66.7 percent and departing flights by 65.9 percent compared to the same period in 2020.
In a statement issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information, the total number of domestic flights passengers (arrivals and departures) grew by 100.8 percent by the end of November 2021 compared to the same period From the year 2020.
Statistics also indicated a decrease in the number of incoming and outgoing international flights through various airports of the Sultanate of Oman, as Muscat International Airport recorded a decrease of 21.7 percent from 29,765 flights at the end of 2020 to 23,303 flights at the end of November 2021, and a total number of international flight passengers (arrivals, departures and diversions) decreased by 28.1 percent from 3,540,475 passengers at the end of November 2020 to 2,545,37 passengers at the end of November 2021.
