MUSCAT: Knowledge Oman is all set to resume its public events following the Supreme Committee decisions issued on February 9, 2022, that allows organisers to hold conferences, exhibitions and mass gatherings with 70 per cent capacity.
“After two years of only doing online webinars, we are now excited to get in action to deliver public sessions to the academia” announced Knowledge Oman Founder, Tariq Hilal Al Barwani.
Engaging the academia on employment skills needed, entrepreneurship opportunities available and sharing insights on industry future developments is Knowledge Oman’s 2022 goals. Speaking about the new plans, Al Barwani said, “We have been working behind the scene to learn about what skills employers need, what business opportunities are there in the market, and how would industries behave especially post COVID-19. We are now working closely with academic institutions to deliver sessions specifically aimed at empowering students and the faculty members.”
A series of sessions delivered by local and international experts in the form of physical interviews and online webinars will be arranged for the institutions. Furthermore, practical presentations by specialists on industry developments in addition to two public events aimed at motivating students will be hosted by Knowledge Oman for the college and universities within the year.
“Empowering the youth with the necessary knowledge to prosper in life is our chief goal, and this will be undertaken along with our knowledge partners via the academic institution and online through webinars,” said Tariq Al-Barwani
Knowledge Oman has managed to deliver 74 initiatives in the form of projects, workshops, and seminars that have impacted thousands of students from colleges and universities since 2008. Projects were supported by over 35 partners locally and internationally that attracted over 80,000 registrations and 700 volunteers across the past 14 years.

Knowledge Oman received four awards that include the outstanding contribution to the cause of education from the World Human Resource Development (HRD) congress. Members of the platform consist of a multinational group of both local and expatriates living in the country with a passion for creating, sharing and exchanging practical knowledge.
