Eight ambulances donated to health institutions in Oman

The National Bank of Oman donated eight ambulances to a number of health institutions affiliated with the Ministry of Health.

MUSCAT: The Ministry of Health received eight ambulances, including six for the Directorate General of Health Services for the Governorate of Muscat, and two for the General Directorate of Health Services for the Governorate of Dhofar.

Within the framework of the partnership between the Ministry of Health and the private sector, the donation came from the National Bank of Oman, in the presence of Her Excellency Dr. Fatima bint Muhammad Al-Ajmiya, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Administrative, Financial and Planning Affairs, and Abdullah Bin Zahran Al Hinai, CEO of the National Bank of Oman, and a number of ministry and bank officials, at the ministry’s general office.

Her Excellency Dr. Fatima bint Muhammad Al-Ajmiya, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Administrative, Financial Affairs and Planning, indicated that the National Bank of Oman donated a set of ambulances to a number of health institutions affiliated with the Ministry, as part of the government partnership that the Bank adopts to improve community services and development projects of public interest aimed at developing the Omani citizen. Commenting on this, Abdullah bin Zahran Al Hinai, CEO of the National Bank of Oman, said, “We place the health and safety of society at the forefront of our priorities, and therefore we are keen to cooperate with our partners and all the competent authorities to ensure that the necessary support and assistance is directed to the sectors most in need.” 

“Although we have passed the most difficult stages of the pandemic, the health care sector is still under multiple pressures to treat and care for people infected with the virus. The heroes of the healthcare sector are still standing in the front lines and doing their best to confront the pandemic, and we are proud to continue to support these efforts in order to preserve the health and safety of community members and overcome the effects of these conditions.”
