MUSCAT: The government has postponed the repayment of housing loan installments for a period of six months for more than 500 cases that were affected by the tropical cyclone Shaheen, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning said on Monday.
Addressing the media, His Excellency Dr. Khalfan Al Shuaili also said housing aid has been approved to nearly 2,000 families at a cost of OMR 47 million. The Ministry received 16,000 applications for providing land. “50% of the application have been approved, while 7% have been rejected. We strive to reach the rights of our people,” he added.
