MUSCAT: Muscat Insurance Company (MIC) has appointed Bernhard U Schluep as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
In a disclosure to Muscat Stock Exchange, Ranjit Singh, Chairman of MIC said Schluep will take charge with immediate effect. “Schluep has more than 28 years experience in the financial services sector gained across several mature and emerging Middle Eastern, European, American, and Asian markets,” the statement said.
Schluep was previously the CEO of emerging markets at Alexander Forbes Group, Africa’s largest pension fund provider, Global Head Life Insurance at UBS, the largest Swiss banking group, CEO of an Islamic insurance group( Takaful) in the GCC, and regional COO Asia of a leading Swiss private banking group.
