MUSCAT: Honourable Dr. Hassan bin Ali Al-Madhani, Vice President of the Arab Parliament, Chairman of the Joint Committee on Sustainable Development and representatives of the International Mission of the Red Cross in Cairo held a joint meeting at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab Parliament.
During the meeting, Dr. Hassan bin Ali Al-Madhani presented the great interest of the Joint Committee on Sustainable Development towards moving forward to achieve the sustainable development goals by involving and representing parliamentarians according to a more effective and representative mechanism.
During the meeting, the two sides also expressed their full readiness to open new partnership horizons that would enhance the role of both sides by taking executive steps in various fields of cooperation and joint coordination.

This meeting comes in implementation of the work plan of the Joint Committee on Sustainable Development in the Arab Parliament, which was adopted at its previous meeting and approved by the Arab Parliament during its session held in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan last December.
