MUSCAT: Sohar Municipality, on Sunday, began handing over 29 housing units to eligible citizens within the projects of the Social Housing Program, which were handed over by His Excellency Sheikh Saif bin Hamir Al Shehhi, Governor of North Al Batinah.
His Excellency reviewed the specifications of the implemented housing units and their components, with the provision of a number of electrical and household appliances in them.
Engineer Salem bin Hamad Al Kindi, Director General of Sohar Municipality, said, “The municipality is continuing to implement its program in social housing projects in accordance with approved plans and budgets. Today, 29 housing units were delivered to beneficiaries who meet the conditions from social security families and people with limited income, after it was presented.”

The requests are submitted to the relevant committee headed by His Excellency the Governor.
Al Kindi said, “The number of housing units that were delivered during the last five years of the Social Housing Program for Sohar Municipality reached 217 housing units, including the housing units that were delivered today.”
