SalamAir submits request to operate flights to Duqm, Masirah

SalamAir has transported more than one million passengers in 2021 with an occupancy rate of 71 percent.

MUSCAT: Oman’s budget airline SalamAir has submitted a request to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to obtain approval to operate domestic flights to Duqm and Masirah.

Speaking in an interview with Oman News Agency, Captain Mohamed Ahmed, CEO of SalamAir said: “We have submitted a request to the concerned authorities to obtain approval to operate domestic flights to Duqm Airport in the Al Wusta Governorate and to the Wilayat of Masirah in the South Sharqiyah Governorate.”

Captain Mohamed indicated that the volume of operations for SalamAir has gradually began to improve, as the company managed to transport more than one million passengers in 2021 with an occupancy rate of 71 percent. SalamAir has operated 9,200 flights in 2021.
