The report showed the noticeable decrease in the number of deaths and inpatients, which coincided with the spread of the vaccination umbrella in the Sultanate of Oman. It also showed the inverse relationship between the vaccination coverage rate and the number of deaths and inpatients. The higher the vaccination coverage rates, the lower the number of deaths and inpatients in hospitals. It is worth noting that the majority of deaths and cases of hypnosis were recorded among the groups that did not receive the vaccine and in the time period prior to the start of the vaccination campaign.
The report showed the inverse relationship between the number of vaccination doses and mortality and morbidity rates, as it is clear that about 90% of deaths occurred among the unvaccinated group, while it was noted that the death rate among the vaccinated group was very 7.5% for those vaccinated with a single dose and 2.5% for those immunised. in two doses.
The same applies to morbidity, where the morbidity rates for the unvaccinated are about 89% of the total inpatients, while these percentages do not exceed (7%) for those vaccinated with one dose of vaccinations and (2.5%) for those vaccinated with two doses.
Despite the noticeable decrease in the rates of deaths and inpatients due to the COVID-19 in the two-dose vaccinated group, according to what studies have shown, it is possible to reduce these percentages further to reach their lowest levels, by taking the booster dose.
