MUSCAT: Grade 1 to 4 (first cycle classes) in all schools in Oman have been asked to conduct classes through “distance education system” for a period of four weeks, starting from Sunday, January 16, the country’s Supreme Committee said in the wake of rising coronavirus cases.
The Supreme Committee also stressed the need for everyone to adhere to the approved precautionary controls, and called for the commitment from institutions including commercial complexes, exhibitions and conferences.
“Event halls and sports activities must abide by the requirements set for carrying out activities. They must not exceed 50% of capacity,” the committee added.
