MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik is addressing the nation on the occasion of the second anniversary of his accession to the thrown.

Highlights from His Majesty’s Royal speech:

His Majesty: We have placed young people at the center of our government’s attention, following up on the efforts made to involve them in building the nation, and we will make sure that this partnership becomes more comprehensive and has a deeper impact.

His Majesty: We look forward to our country being a leading investment destination, especially in the areas that enhance our orientations aimed at expanding the size of our national economy and diversifying sources of income.

His Majesty: We are confident that you understand the challenges we have gone through, dealt with them wisely and patiently, and we have moved forward in achieving our economic and social programs with the help of God, rejoicing in Oman’s 2040 vision. Our economic situation has improved and we are continuing the path of prosperity with you.

His Majesty: We are satisfied with the improvement in financial performance, and it was reinforced by our order to expand economic stimulus policies and build a social protection system that provides citizens with a decent life, giving this improvement a human dimension.

His Majesty: During the next phase of our renewed renaissance, we will make sure to set complete solutions which will be established that put economic growth, financial sustainability and the welfare of society in the first place.

His Majesty: We are satisfied with the positive change in the financial path.

His Majesty: We stress the importance of the private sector in providing job opportunities.

His Majesty: We call upon our sons and daughters to adhere to the principles and values ​​that were and will remain the pillars of our glorious history.

His Majesty: Loyal sons of Oman, the sincere patriotic efforts have been a matter of pride, and we record a word of praise to our security and military services for providing the homeland and defending its interests, devoting their souls to sacrifice every inch of this country, and all thanks and appreciation to everyone who contributes to building this dear homeland.

His Majesty: We are happy at what was accomplished with job seekers, during the past year. We could employ our children despite the difficult stage, and we look forward with firm hope that all sectors of the state movement will play the role of employment, and that the private sector also plays a role in it.

His Majesty: Our country – praise be to God – enjoys competitive advantages, great capabilities, and promising opportunities that should be exploited, and the government and all state institutions will harness all their efforts and energies in cooperation and integration.It ensures that development is directed to the governorates, and works to enhance their readiness for investment, and to develop their local role, based on the comparative advantage that characterizes each governorate, in order to create local development models, and this will be complemented by a number of strategic projects, implemented by the government.

We have been exposed to climatic conditions several times, and in our keenness to provide the highest levels of protection and care for our citizens and residents, we have directed the government to expedite the early warning system, support and development.And adopting the best urban planning methodologies to limit the effects of these conditions.
