MUSCAT : Monitoring-raised HE Qais bin Mohammed Yousuf Investment ministerial decision as a standard issued by the Omani Minister of Commerce and Industry Promotion No. 1639/2021 OS for Dishdasha Omani Standard Omani binding.
An administrative fine not exceeding 1000 OMR has been set for anyone who violates the provisions of this decision, and the fine is doubled in the event of a repeat violation.
According to the new decision, Ministerial Resolution No. 265/2016 was cancelled. The decision was based on Royal Decree No. 97/2020 to amend the name of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, define its terms of reference and approve its organisational structure, and Ministerial Resolution No. 265/2016 as a binding Omani standard specification, and based on what is required by the public interest.
