MUSCAT: Starting from Sunday, January 1, 2022, Oman will implement the widely discussed Ejada that will evaluate the performance of more than 175,000 government employees.
The system which is one of the main highlights of Oman Vision 2020 will be fully supervised by the Ministry of Labour. “It will help to build a culture of proficiency in job performance and improve performance appraisal systems, through the governance and will also help in evaluating the individual performance of the employee,” Oman TV said in a statement.
The system will also help to improve the level of quality of services provided to citizens, enhance the community’s confidence in government performance, in addition to clarifying the employee’s duties and responsibilities.

“The system which is part of the objectives of Oman Vision 2040 will bring about a qualitative leap in government performance by raising the performance of individuals and their productivity,” an official from Ministry of Labour pointed out.
“Rewarding employees is a measure of the employee’s commitment to achieving the goals entrusted to him and completing the tasks required of him, whether on a daily, monthly or annual level,” he added.
