MUSCAT: Airline operators will be fined in the event of carrying a passenger who has not met the COVID-19 travel requirements to enter Oman, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said in a new circular.
“Airline operators shall notify the passengers, prior to arrival, to prepare the documents for verification by the immigration and upon request by the airport staffs,” CAA said. “Aircraft operators shall be fined to the event of carrying a passenger who has not made the travel requirements to the Sultanate of Oman,” CAA noted.
Meanwhile, CAA said Covid-19 PCR test can be conducted within 14 days prior to the scheduled time of arrival in the Sultanate for “citizens travelling between Oman and UAE.”
