MUSCAT: OMR 11 million were disbursed as urgent financial assistance to 11,000 families affected by tropical cyclone Shaheen, Her Excellency Dr. Laila bint Ahmed Al Najjar, Minister of Social Development confirmed.
According to the Minister the financial assistance is still being paid to families in some wilayats. The Ministerial Committee formed to assess damages of the cyclone had issued a decision to disburse urgent financial assistance of OMR 1,000 to families whose houses were damaged during the cyclone.
