MUSCAT: A domestic worker captured in a video beating a child in Muscat Governorate was arrested by the Royal Oman Police on Thursday.
In a statement issued, ROP without revealing the nationality of the employee said the arrest was made on the basis of the video that circulated on social media.
“The Royal Oman Police in Muscat Governorate Police arrested a domestic worker on charges of beating a child. This came after a video clip was circulated on social media. The case is under process,” ROP said.
