MUSCAT: More than 166,000 transactions were completed through the Invest Easy portal during the second quarter of 2021, Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion (MoCIIP) said on Saturday.
“The number of transactions completed by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion and submitted through the “Invest Easy” electronic portal during the second quarter of 2021 (April-May-June), reached 166,775 transactions, up by 421%, compared to 32,055 transactions in the same period of last year,” MoCIIP said in a statement.
“This rise in the number of the completed transaction is due to the tendency of investors to conduct their transactions through the use of self-services provided through the electronic portal Invest Easy,” MoCIIP said.

Invest Easy has contributed to the speed of completion of transactions, achieving clarity in procedures, updating the corporate data electronically, saving time and efforts and reducing the hidden trade operations.
The Directorate of Information, Data and Statistics at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion clarified that the number of transactions completed through the front offices of the ministry during the second quarter of 2021, reached to 12,581, compared to 750 transactions submitted during the same period last year.
